As Mid-Atlantic Robotics d.b.a. FIRST Mid-Atlantic continues to grow and mature, the Board of Directors has recognized the need for an additional contractor to oversee day-to-day operations of the Corporation and serve as the primary point of contact for teams. Mid-Atlantic Robotics has an immediate opening for a Program Director. A contractor work scope document is available here. FIRST Mid-Atlantic’s priority is the safety and well-being of all students who attend our competitions.  FIRST requires that all volunteers be screened under its Youth Protection Policy (“YPP”).  In addition, and separate and apart from YPP screening, all volunteers must also comply with state laws governing volunteers who work with children.  In 2014, Pennsylvania changed its Child Protective Services Law, known as Act 153, to require volunteers working with children to complete specific screening requirements.

Mid-Atlantic Robotics is seeking hosts for District Competitions in 2017 and beyond. If your team’s school or venue is interested in hosting a MAR District Competition, please fill out our Venue Evaluation Form and a member of the Venue Selection Committee will contact you to schedule a site visit.
